What's New?

The major change is the addition of the RSA-PSS signature algorithm and RSA-OAEP encryption. These RSA algorithms are now becoming compulsory around the world, in particular in Germany (see, for example, Best Practice zur Security Schnittstelle, pdf 487 kB). We've also added support for elliptic curve keys and ECDSA signatures in X.509 certificates and some other goodies, including ZLIB compression (yes, we do listen to feedback - thanks guys).

For a full list of changes with cross-references to the new manual, see New in this version.
